Don't know if this is the right place but I have just registered and I thought I would say hello. Just got a 1999 Spurtwagon and like it fine. Much better than those tail happy CTRs ( Hi FOZ)
Could someone explain to me how to modify my sig please?

Thanks for the welcome. Yes zeolite is a mineral Dougster.
I have just converted the Sport Special (ex-wife's car) to a turbo wagon. 99 42k standard. I got new pads and fluid fitted before I got it but I still managed to fade the brakes on a 10 mile fast run ( Stoney to Maryculter) So is this normal and what options do I have for brake upgrades? bearing in mind that this is a road car and I already have a rally car for the serious mods. It is not a scooby though. I am quite confident about doing brake mods and in fact I was de-seizing cossy brakes today.

Welcome aboard Zeolite.
You might want to take a look here for a possible brake upgrade seeing as you already have the standard 4-pots? £750 for a 4-pot Brembo kit, 320mm discs, pads + braided hoses seems a good deal.

Have done STRC events but the last one I did was the 2000 Ingliston Stages. The rally car is being rebuilt and I am hoping to get it out for Crail in November.
£750 is a bit steep for my road car budget! I was thinking about some replacement discs and steel hoses. Would that make a difference or is it more fundamental?

Welcome Zeolite
I used to have a MY99 Wagon and have done the Stoney to Maryculter run many times (I live in Stoney), didn't have brake fade problems on that fairly short blast, but did after 5/6 laps at KH.
Hope you enjoy the wagon .

I used to get a lot of fade with one set of DS2500's on the Cossie, say a good 10-15 mins hard run, and they were gone.
However, after a service they were replaced with an identical set and i got much better performance..They never faded as quick ????
Strange.
