Any one know how much one of these is?
Found out I is gonna need one, bringing on me CEL.
Supposedly this is kinda normal when runnig a decat said the tech that looked at her but hey what do I know LOL. Tech reckoned about £130 ish...... hoping he is wrong.
So I gosta fit it and put the cats on and return to the garage to get the CEL light off.
Still beats workin on the Renault LMAO.

I don't understand - do you mean that you need an exhaust gas temperature gauge so you can drive so as to stop the check engine light coming on?

 

Just get a CEL fix designed to be used with a decat... sorts it out permanently and you dont need to put the cats back. Far cheaper than replacing the sensor too!

 

If you plan to get the MRT cel fix or similar device fitted, there is little point replacing the sensor as the fix simply over-rides the info from the sensor to the ECU, telling it all is well in the exhaust.

Got the sensor coming now , but will be getting the MRT CEL fix soon I hope.
BTW If I do put the downpipe cat on, and loose that loverly sound and about 20-30BHP, but leave the centre cat off, will the CEL still come on?

The CEL stays off with the centre cat off. It's part of the PPP.
