I have a Road Angel with a Snooper SLD920 (and an SD815iS for when I get really paranoid ). The Road Angel is the best piece of kit I've ever used (and I've been using radar/laser detectors for the best part of twenty years) - easy to update on the PC/internet and never found a camera yet that it doesn't know about. I update it about once a month, or if I know I'm going to be in an area I don't know - takes less than a minute to update. The SLD920 hasn't been used in anger yet but the reviews of it on various sites suggested it was the one to have. Bought it on eBay for less than £200. I've had the SD815iS for a few years now but it's currently in the glove box because the Road Angel is SO good.

All the above supplemented with Mk I eyeballs, though. There's no substitute for vigilance
