A mate of mine has just been done driving up from manchester somewhere on the motorway, thing is, radar detector picked up nothing, no strange cars behind him.

He was very puzzled and asked how they could prove he was doing 96mph.

Turns out they are using a vehicle recognition camera located on a bridge, another camera on a bridge further down and a computer controled timer. Obviously if you pass the second camera to quickly then they got you in the bag.

Very sneaky and nothing you can do but be aware of cameras on bridges.

That would be the SPECs system. Very sneaky, especially at night whereby the cameras are practically invisible....

Another reason to buy a Road Angel

Either that has just been installed recently or I've been lucky

Just had a check and:

Nearest Town/village: Haydock
Road Name: M6
Direction of Camera: North and Southbound
Speed Enforcement: 70 mph
Further Details: Digital cameras north and southbound between Haydock and M58 junction.

One I'll have to remember about.
