Looking to gauge interest in the above. Thinking about setting something up in the Inverness area for a Scooby gathering, which I'm sure would need to include a "wee" run out on some great roads.

Because of the remoteness and the distance some would be travelling (I include myself here and the likes of SandyCam) I would think we would need to be looking at a weekend meet, however an evening meet could also work if this was felt to be better. Plans are to have one (assuming there is enough interest) and take it from there. If this was felt to be a success, then we could do one every couple of months or so...

Without doubt, there would be several cars coming from the Aberdeenshire area, including a couple of smarties, a handful of Sti7’s, a "mad" P1, a "red hot" classic and a "cool grey" Sti v5.

Steve, we are working on something at the moment. I will be home in the UK on Wed, but away to the meet in Yorkshire on Sunday. Anyone from the H&I want to come to that?

Will touch base with you when I get home and we see what we can do together if that’s OK, as I’m flat out at work right now.

Even the old wagon got a peice of you *** on the way home from NBO!

Will be up north last couple of weeks in July and possibly in Ullapool early August.

Not sure what to do here at all. I guess we should kick start the thing off by asking people do they want to have an evening meet, say at 7.30 pm or do an weekend meet, probably on a Saturday Morning. I’m thinking Sundays would be hard going with the summer traffic and the Sunday drivers for people getting there and back.

I’m home for one more week and then I will be away most of July I’m afraid, but seems like a few folk will be up that way at that time and if it happens then, that fine with me. Seems there are far more than just me keen to get something going, which is good news and several of the lads work away from home, so like Aberdeen, we won't be able to attend all the meets if we get something going.

So I’ll throw it out to the crowd, either this week some evening or next Saturday Morning or Sunday sometime. If not, we’ll pick a date towards the back end of July and see what comes of it. John S and Dougster will already be up that way.

Just thinking about trying to firm this up a little, other wise we never get anywhere.

So;
This Wed night or Sat Morning or Sun Morning/afternoon or late July.

Please let us know what suits the most and we'll use Inverness as the focal point for now. We could even use a local Subaru garage as a meet point, if they would allow us If it is on the weekend we could have a run out somewhere as well

Hi Jools, saturday would be better option personally, but then my clutch won't be fitted by then so will only be making an appearance at slow speeds!

Ordered clutch today so will be here by weds but that's not enough time for me. Still interested in meeting if everyone else is though.

Late July will DEFINITELY be a goer though. That's giving all the guys from further away plenty of time to arrange and spread the word.

When in July are you back? We should set a definite date towards the end of July and take it from there. If you want me to get in touch with local garage re a meeting place, let me know.

I might be able to arrange a one-off discount day through my mate that owns carnoisseur if anyone is interested in that.

The more people we can get to attend this the better so if people can spread the word to other scooby owners and drum up some interest then we can make it a regular event.

David, I have full camping gear and plan on an over-night stop or longer up there.

Depends on the time as Diane might be with me if we are heading over or back from Ullapool area.

Otherwise I'll be on my own and have the only tent with 5.1 surround dvd!!

Slight problem for me is I got my dates mixed up and I'm now on dayshift all through the planned weekend, DOH!
