as u know i have an evo and its not that different with the fwd than a scooby

i got my clutch changed to a twin plate and i picked the car up and the oil in the gearbox has been changed too

so i brought it home and didnt use it properly till yesterday, the gearbox feels very funny nothing like before, it was always precise and never had probs like sticking, only with the 5th coz the syncro was woren and it used to get in of course but when i used to change it very fast u hear a crunch.


so yesterday it was feeling a lil diagnol, smooth gearchange than before coz of the oil change but when i put it to 2nd after the 1st it was going in to the 4th it did that a few times and when i shift from 3rd to the 2nd same again and sometimes i was fighing to get it into the 2nd gear, it felt so bad like if my gearbox was gonna break, then the same with 3rd and 5 trying to get it into 3 and it goes into the 5th.

it feels fecked up basically, what can cause that, i put this to the mlr and they say it seems the transfer box might not be fitted properly and it happened to one of them and it wrecked their transfer box.


pls mods if u can leave it at scots forum coz i rather get advice from the guys i know and not from the technical bit , cheers

I don't know anything about EVO's Moses, but could it be the gear linkage hasn't been refitted properly? (If that is indeed the setup)

i wanted u to test the quarter mile time with the twin plate, but its murder to drive and fecked gearbox doesnt help, im gonna phone the garage tomorrow and speak to them

sure mate im at work till 10 pm so it will have to be next few days i will give u a call, yesterday i was off and i went passed your area coz i wanted to try the rd to eaglesham but had to turn to the mearnskirk one coz the gearbox was playing up

Nah serious though, i`m no any expert on Evos but Im thinkin
the same as Alan. Sounds like the selector arm, thats what broke a few of my boxes, cos had to crach them into gear. That or the selcetor interfering with the tunnel ???
