What a load of cobblers
Saw the first stage great
Second stage walked miles in to the forest ..... Waited 45 minutes..... only then to be told that it would be another 30 minutes due to delays....
Delays were
No sign posting
Lack of Marshalls
Lack of Orginisation
Lack of people who could give answers
This is by far the worst event i have ever seen
Its a bit off when car 1 asks us if this is the way to the start of a stage??????
Aberdeen Motor Club You should be ashamed!!!!!

Sorry Craig I dont agree,
Its easy to critisize others but there was several marshalls posts un manned due to a lack of volunteers.
And stage 2 was cancelled due to a Subaru going on fire and setting light to the forrest.
And as for a compettitor asking for directions, thats not due to a lack of signs because all navigators have maps and a full set of instructions and DO NOT NEED SIGNS (although it helps)
And we retired in the last stage due to the clutch exploding.

Forgot to say that several clubs were there helping,
RSOC,stonehaven and district motor club etc etc.
without them there would be no event.
Thanks to all the people who made it possible.

Well I was there with my mate on SS1 & SS3
We started at the end of SS1, then decided to head out to SS3 cause we thought we would get a good spot to watch, which we did, cause we could see the cars coming along the other side of the valley, then around to where we were standing
After a looooooong walk to the stage, a marshall car stopped to tell me about the incident on SS2, so I was glad that we knew why it would be 1.5 hours till we would see a car. Although there weren't many good places to stand; and the good places were a bit busy.
Still, it was a good event, the stages looked fun to drive & there were some rather tasty evo's to drool over
Another good thing was that the stages were all close to eachother. SS3 was a 15-20 minute walk from SS1
Then we headed home down the A92 (stopping for a swift one at St Andrews) which was fun
It was a good event despite the waits being very frustrating. Although it pisses me off just watching. I want to drive!
I hope to have some photos up during the week, but I'm gonna be quite busy, so I can't guarantee anything

I was up there yeterday with one of the Recovery units (pulled out that Impreza that was on fire).
First time I'd been to watch a rally & thought it was alright, especially almost bein run over by a blown up an Astra with no brakes!

Crush, so it pisses you off just watching!!
Why not go to Kames this sunday for the marshal training day and get involved in with the action, you might be surprised just how much help and extra body or two can make to the running of a special stage or even marshalling trackside at a race or sprint or hillclimb.

I was working with the chief marshal we had 80 marshals which should be enough for 4 stages but you can always do with more, your welcome to come and help next year. You can even drive into the stage. Buy the the rally program at £3 for maps, profits go to the car club to make rallies cheeper to enter.
