Another Unprovoked Pheasant Attack
#1
After my recent experience of getting a pheasant nearly through my radiator another suicide bird had a go today.
Whilst travelling close to the legal limit, and making good progress on B-road somewhere in NE Scotland a pheasant jumped out from a hedge and hit the car. It as, frankly, comical, a true demonstration of Snell's law (the angle of incidence = the angle of reflection) and the ill-fated bird sped off and a VERY HIGH VELOCITY over the hedge sans many feathers and body parts.
Thank The Almighty for my headlamp protectors on my trusty MY00 classic. Without the "pheasant guards" I would be facing a big bill, as it is I only have to replace the headlamp guards.
Lesson:If you have not got headlamp guards, fit 'em now.
I await the next unprovoked pheasant attach with interest, but expect fewer attacks, as it is of course the closed season.

Ain't pheasants attempting Hari-Kari but Suicidal Bambis that seem to haunt my local twisties
