Well folks, after a lot of head scratching, soul searching and bean counting...... we've traded in the Scoob for a Hippo.

We had the Scoob for almost 2 years (a personal record), and as much as we liked the Scoob, both ScoobyLoobyLou and myself felt we needed the change:

I took the photos so you couldn't see the tears.

Good points:

1) more room - took a 28inch widescreen home at christmas, fair bit more legroom, headroom etc.
2) much cheaper insurance (how does 50% sound?)
3) better fuel cons, though this might be down to different driving style as well.
4) not a target for racing anymore, don't get pi$$ taken for baby on board stickers.
5) better in the snow this morning
6) hole new world of accessories, magazines etc.
7) back window lowers - great for the dog

Bad points:

1) Feels slow - it's not a Scoob
2) Seats a bit unsupportive when cornering
3) Roof's a bit of a swine to reach when washing
4) oh and....... it's not a Scoob

I'll still be lurking around here somewhere, and might even crop with the odd post here and there.

Keep it safe,

Mike.

Edited to say the pics weren't meant as an advert for T & C.

Edited to remove unconstructive comment, cheers Miles

WUZ:

YHM. There's a surprising amount of fun to be had with the Hippo, only at legal speeds, which has to be a good thing with a 3 month old baby in the back.

Miles:

apologies for the comment, got the email, cheers. Funnily enough I thought I'd used a stronger word than clowns (people previously mentioned won't make the connection will they)

All IMHO of course.

Mike.

Yeah! The Forester would hav been the best of both worlds - or did you prefer the "higher quality interior" that the Hippo obviously has
