New uprated FMIC & TMIC being developed
#1
The cores being used are to be 600x300x65 (unless he changes the spec)
This is one he has made for a Z32, and he claims the flow properties of his uprated I/C's are even better than some of the known brands available. Big claims I know, so I have have put my name down for one. He say's he will supply full kits with everything needed for fitment for £500, if he get's 10 definate orders. 3 month lead time.

I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to Scoobs, but I guess most of us are in Scoobynet. So my question evolves around the fitting of a FMIC. What will the fitting be like? I'm not a great fan of cutting things up under the bonnet as 1)The chances are I'll make a complete mess of it and 2)I'll probably cut my hand off in the process.
So all I want to know how good a fitment will it be? Will it look as if it should be there in the first place or will it look as if someone dropped it in from a great height and hoped for the best?
Cheers

Gordon,
AFAIK you dont need an re-mappable ECU, but a FMIC is excellent ground work to push the tuning further if you have got one. If you get problems hitting boost cut after fitting the front mount, you can get a Dawes and tune it to what the P1 runs normally.
The front bumper has to come off for it to be fitted.
Other than that, I havent fitted one, or seen one being fitted, but the feeling from people that have fitted them, is that it is not difficult to do, takes about 4 hrs to complete, and to take time and care when cutting the front bumper.
From the look of the one he's made in the pic above, a similar Impreza front mount should look very good and fitting wont be too much of a challenge.
