Mods, can you leave this here for a wee while as I'd prefer it to go to another Scootish peep
1 Scoobsport (manufactured by H&S) backbox for sale. Taking it off as I want to quieten things down for my wee bairn.
It will be coming off the car on Monday 3rd Feb as I'm up at T&C in Perth for my 37.5K service .. standard pea-shooter is going back on for the mo until I find something quieter yet still tasty
Usual 3 1/2 rolled tail, had it on for about 9 months/9K miles. It's coming off an MY00 wagon. As new.
Can deliver if local-ish (Dunfermline), meet up lunchtimes if not toooooo far or I am sometimes up Aberdeen way.
Ideally looking for around 220.
Thanks,
Doofus.

I'm assuming as this has had 20 odd views and the title isn't exactly ambiguous that some people are looking for the 'classic' BB for a 'classic' scoob rather than just being curious.
I am open to offers on the BB hence 'looking for'. Saying that though I'm in no desperate rush to sell so I'm not going to be letting it go for silly money. I'm happy to keep bumping this back up.
I've looked at H&S website and the 'classic' BB is 295+ postage. So around 310 in case you were wondering.
Cheers,
Doofus.

Sorry to keep replying to my own thread ...
.. if this makes a bit of difference if someone was looking for a change and didn't want the sell/buy/postage hassle .. I would take a look at swapping it for a WR Sport/PPP box of a similar age and condition .... maybe someone looking for a bit more noise?
I think the WR sport is quieter, right?

Doofus,
Don't overlook that there are lots of people with new shape cars looking for BB's too. I had a look at your post, with this in mind, for a mate of mine with an import Sti 7
Goodluck with the sale, but worry not; These things don't seem to sit around too long. BTW; You are right about the WR sport box being quieter than the great sounds of a SS BB.

... errrm, doh! I hadn't though of that ...
I know some Scooby enthusiast will take it off my hands and am quite happy to wait for the right deal.
Good to know the WR sport box is a bit quieter. I have an SS DP on as well so the noise in my wagon is just a touch too much.
Cheers,
Doofus.

Dougster,
I have 1/2 inch of good carpet underlay+have the boot floor lined with the sticky silver sided Noise Acoustics sound killer and for me on long motorway trips once the exhaust gets hot it's just too loud.
We are contemplating a trip down to the lakes for summer this year and there is no way I would consider doing it with the loud drone at 75-80 that I have with the SS BB on.
I do have an SS DP on as well and this obviously doesn't help the noise. I'd rather keep the performance gain of the DP than the piddly amount you get with the BB.
Thanks anyhow and BTTT for today.
