came out the hous this morning to find the car had been attacked, again!! dunno what they have done but whatever it is has turned the paint a white coulor,it acctually looks like it was frost to begin with but it isn't it's on the bonnet and rear door(along with a matching dent,it's not a scoob i got at the minute(thank god)it's only a renault 19 16v nothing special to look at either.just wondered if anyone knew what this substance might be it's brick hard and if i try to pick it off it's taking paint with it,as you can imagine i'm rather miffed to say the least

Kev,
If you find out what it is, let us know. That sounds worrying.
A few years ago, I took my mum's Daihatsu jeep into a bodyshop for a quote as the local Drumoak publican had reversed his Merc into it. Anyway, there was a Calibra there parked up which had paint stripper thrown all over it - not at all pretty. I mentioned to the bodyshop manager (who was a mate of my old man's), his response, "Third time its happened, his ex missus is really pissed off with the owner [of the Calibra]". Holy crap, at that point made a mental note not to **** off any dame I meet :0

craig, to answer your question it seemed like a good house/area at the time(beside mctosh don),it still is a good hous but we made 13k when we sold it
yes i do have a very good idea who it is,not only has my car been targetted but every panel on my wife's sri vectra has been keyed as we move out of here in a fortnight i will be paying a visit to gibbs to purchase myself a self centering punch(for those diy jobs you understand)they say revenge is a dish best served cold, and i can be really cold!!

miles, in reply to your question, not excactly sure what it is,i dont think it is paint stripper but it is still on the bonnet but it kind of dissapeered off the rear door, the dent's stilll there tho, tried to rub it off the bonnet a short while ago but it not budging, loooks like crysalised suger now
