Question

I've got a TSL de-cat on at the moment, but thinking of putting the original one back on. My original has a duff thread, so I'll need that helicoiled or if someone is prepared to do a swap or sell me their original.

Right, Scoty boy, best'est chum. What sort of price you looking for it?

AlanG,

Any ideas of the cost for inserting a helicoil into one?

OK, I'll keep that in mind.

My original works fine, so if it costs more than £40 to get a helicoil fitted I'll be in touch.

Cheers,

Stefan

Won't cost as much to get it heli-coiled. It's only an insert.

Are you sure it can't be re-tapped? Most times it's the thread on the sensor which fails rather than the boss it goes into

Alan,

Not sure. Need to get it down from the loft to have a good look, although what I'm looking at will be a mystery to me

I'm running a TSL de-cat with my new O2 sensor, so it's just to give me another option and not break the new sensor threads.

I'll ask my friendly garage to have a look for me tomorrow.
