Grampian Police is to use the traps, which will sit on roadside tripods or polesand can be moved around.
The routes for speeders to aviod will be updated on www.nescamp.co.uk

They are basically the Laser ones used elsewhere in the UK.
The laughable bit is where they will only use them on roads where a certain number of fatal/serious accidents have happened within a certain timeframe, OR roads where speeding has been identified as a problem !
ie so anywhere they like really!
Another story which amused me was:
"FUNDING AWARDS WILL ADDRESS CONGESTION NEAR ABERDEEN AIRPORT "
"Bus stops and shelters around Aberdeen Airport are to be upgraded - thanks to a £318,000 award from the Scottish Executive.
And a study on the transport needs of Dyce will be funded to the tune of £115,000, it will be announced today."
How on earth will spending £318k on upgrading bus stops and shelters at Aberdeen Airport help reduce congestion in the area ???
