JohnS, Numptie, Miles, Sasim, anbody - what's Mounthoolly?
#1
This came up in conversation at lunchtime, and no one in here's sure why it's not classed as a roundabout.
Any ideas appreciated.
Expecting good things from JohnS, after his lenght proposals for traffic on south of Aberdeen.
Mike.

I'd been told it wasn't actually a roundabout, more a one way loop, apparently you can tell this by the give way markings on the approach roads instead of the traditional roundabout markings. Although I could swear I have seen it with roundabout markings at one time or another.
Wouldn't be the biggest roundabout if JohnS got his proposal accepted though!

The markings at Mounthooly were put there to try to steer Aberdeen drivers round the roundabout in the proper direction......
Why is it that Aberdeen must be the worst place for drivers who don't know which lane to be in on a roundabout.....??
And where did the Haud-it-gaan roundabout get it's name?? For the 25 odd years before AA Road Reports it never had a name. Maybe it's appropriate for Aberdonians who don't give way.....??
