Endurance Karting Returns
#1
We had planned to hold our next outdoor karting event on the evening of Friday 22nd November, but that date was no longer available when we went to book it. However, we have been offered a Saturday afternoon slot the next day (23rd November) at 3:30pm. Unfortunately this clashes with a planned trip north for some of you, though I'm not sure if you could perhaps do this after the karting - it would certainly work up a thirst ;-)
The options we have are:
a) Hold the event on Saturday 23rd November, starting at 3:30pm
b) Hold the event on Friday 6th December, starting at 6pm
The event will be an outdoor endurance event, using the twin engined pro-karts on the full 930m track. It will be for teams of 4 drivers, and our tried and tested handicap system based on weight and driver experience will be used to even things up a bit. The cost will be our usual discounted rate of £35 - £40 per driver, depending on the number teams taking part.
Can you please let me know if:
1) You are interested
2) You would prefer the 23rd November, 6th December or either
3) Do you want to enter as a team, or an individual (we'll make up teams of individuals)
Best Regards
John

My vote would be for the 6th of December.
Bit selfish but I'm offshore on all the other dates. If it was on the 6th I could get a team together for the event.

23rd was by far the most popular date (by about 4 to 1), so we've gone with that
Sorry if a disappoints a few people, but almost everyone could make the 23rd, with only a handful definitely able to make the 6th.
Still waiting on the price to be confirmed, but it will be between £35 and £40 each, depending on the number of teams taking part.
I'll start accepting team nominations, drivers etc from now, and I'll do a proper booking form at work on Monday.

Just to say that the karting is confirmed for this coming Saturday (23rd November), ast 3:30pm (arrive by 3pm latest to get signed on and kitted out).
Should be a huge amount of fun as usual on the outdoor track at Raceland
Please contact me by e-mail for a booking form, more details etc.
No experience required, as there is a 30 minute practice session before the actual two hour race itself. Don't worry if you don't know anyone else, as we'll pair you up with other individuals and have you working as a team within no time
Cheers

Still trying to scrape together a team, so might end up asking if I can join one of the other incomplete teams. Will let you know later today...
Need to warn you that Tom (the owner of Raceland) has gone to the dark side and traded his P1 for an EVO 7 FQ300 !! . Haven't aske himwhat he thinks of it yet though... maybe we can talk him back round !
