Karting returns :)

Right,
need some quick replies here. We've got a chance to do one of our very popular karting events at Raceland near Edinburgh on the 23rd or 24th November (24th might not be available for outdoors).
We can run either an outdoor endurance event (our usual format), or an indoor grand prix event (individual races). It is possible to run an endurance event indoors, but the tight corners make it virtually impossible to do anything more than 5 minute stints!
Cost will be about the normal £35 - £40 per person regardless of the type of event.
My vote goes for an outdoor event on the Friday evening. We run the risk of having poor weather (I'll take a change of clothes with me). It will be cold no doubt as well
if you are interested, can you please post up with your preferences:
a) Indoor Grand Prix or Outdoor Endurance.
If we run the team events, then we'll ned at least 4 drivers per team, but as usual we'll run a number of teams made up of individuals.
Cheers

Nice one John, i've been meaning to mail you to get another event sorted. The last one was ace (even if we did come 9th)
Put me down as a cast-iron definate for either indoor or outdoor (preferably outdoor in the pishin rain )

There is room for everyone.
I have raced there - in my slimmer days - in rain and snow/ice we did an event in December
We might be lucky with the weather we might not but it will be fun surely more people than the above want to go...

Saturdays are a bit of a problem for some people (somthing to do with watching people kicking a piece of blown up leather around a field ?), and also getting time at the karting place, as they have a fixed schedule for Saturdays (race team practice etc). I'm sure Willie will be able to post up the times actually available on the Saturday.
Most people seem happy with the Friday evening so far though, which seems to be the most popular option. It would be arrival about 6pm, for a 6:30pm start (30 minutes practice), followed by a two hour race. If you can't make it for 6pm, then all you need to do is let youtr team know you'll be late, and take the last practice session just before 7pm, or if you'll be later than this, simply skip practice, and drive your two or three sessions twoards the end of the race

My Mrs expressed her interest in Karting a few weeks ago.
Does a team entry need to be a competitive entry, or is it acceptable to be along for the experience of driving a kart ?

Hopefully we have enough interest
It would be a 6pm arrival at Raceland, but if you've been before, then you could arrange with your fellow team members to do the last practice (just before 7pm), or even skip that and take later slots in the race itself.
I'll e-mail everyone who has been to a previous event when I get back to work next week.
