Thinking of buying a Catalunya and was looking for some advice. The car is a `97 Impreza Catalunya with 40,000miles on the clock and in very good condition, full service history the works. What I was wondering is firstly does approx £9350 sound like a good figure for this car? Secondly is there anything that I should be looking out for on this car that might go wrong etc? Finally does anyone have one and what do they think of it?
Cheers.
Cheers.

You can see mine here brmotors.co.uk, it's in the feature cars.
I've had mine since december, and it's been fine apart from a bit of a juddery cluch.
BTW mine's number 63!

I had a Catalunya (number 33) for a couple of years. Nice seats, horrible wheels - changed them for 17" Oz SuperT copies. Piston slap was sorted (T&C paid, their mistake). I loved it to drive.

Had one of these, no 133 on an R plate. Though I thought it was great at the time, turned out to be a bit of a waste of money. If you want to spend 10 grand on a fast car I wouldn't recommend a Catalunya. If it's fast enough for you then fair enough, but it wasn't for me. I'd recommend you try an STi first.
The price.... well I was offered £10500 for my 31K mile Catalunya at town and county Aberdeen. There was not one thing wrong with the car, FSSH etc. That was against the very first new model WRX they were to recieve......TWO YEARS AGO! He had one in the forecourt at the time for £16K with more miles on a P and had the cheek to tell me they only paid 10 for it at auction, remember 2 years ago. Unless the car is very low miles, mint and anything else is too fast for you, I wouldn't bother.
