FYI from the local press;
A man who drove his Subaru Impreza at nearly 118mph on the A90 in a race with the driver of a Mazda was banned for 12 months and fined £350 yesterday.
Forfar Sheriff Court heard that police clocked the Subaru car doing 109mph and had gone after it.
Procurator fiscal Jim Craigen told the court: "The car was pursued and it was noted as police caught up with it that it seemed to be going faster. It gave the impression that the Impreza was engaged in a race with a Mazda RX7."
Mr Craigen said the car had reached speeds up to 117.9mph in the race on June 10 on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road between Muiryfaulds and Gateside.

RR,
This tends to be the only part of the press that they do get right these days, reporting on court cases, etc.
On a similar, but different issue, driving disqualification now a days are so unfair across the UK;
I work with two guys offshore from down South and they both got nailed doing a ton up on bikes (separately) and got a 60 and 40-day ban each...
Up with us you get a year for every thing it seems.

never under estimate a mazda guys. i was running all be it flat out 1 sunday morning on the way up to knockhill with a p1 knocking on my back door but he never got passed. i used to drive a 323 v6 and now drive a my99 uk impreza and if i had to choose the car that can get thrashed the most, the mazda would win all day long. impreza's are quicker, but then its only as quick as the driver.

I think there will be a lot of support out there m8. The papers don't report what happened to the Mazda who done the off.
So much for fancy in car police cameras.

Thanks for the support guy's,
The last thing I would want is for people to get angry.
Still gonna come to as many meets as I possibly can, without the car, but it's gonna take me a while to toddle there in my new buggy

Scoty,
You the same Scoty at Star yesterday ?
Sh*te news mate, sorry to hear about it, and after looking at the picture of the car, it's going to be a nightmare not being able to drive it too !
ps: I may still be interested in the Intercooler mate, will keep you posted.
