Question

As the title says, anyone actually done this themselves after fitting a de-cat downpipe?

My Dealer thought it best not to bother and left it off the car. Advice so far is to get it back on as soon as.

Tin Snips, cut off what you need for the downpipe to pass through.
10 minute job.

RB5-Black,

Which Dealer was it? They're not in the East Lothian per chance?

I know a lot of folks don't put it back on, but probably best to take measures in reducing any problems the heat from the turbo can cause.

The brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder are in close proximity to the turbo and therefore subjected to the heat from the turbo. Admittedly the clutch reservoir has a shield round it but the brake master cylinder doesn't...

At the end of the day, Subaru don't put a heatshield on there for nowt.....

Thumbs up

Cheers for that Paul; those images make it a whole lot clearer. I'll have a look at the shield tonight and let you all know how I get on.
