brilliant day, i think there was only 7 cars that went on all together and that made the day a lot more pleasant. jim had plenty of time to try what ever we really want to. top marks for star perfromance on the day. but again don't expect the same service when 20 cars turn up

some really impressive cars as well.

alan G's car is by far the fastest uk impreza i have been in bar none.

and keith's car is the fastest car i have ever been in period the straight line speed of this skyline was just amazing really.

it was good to see the sti7 on the rollers, looked and sounded very smooth on the rollers as well.

very nice and interesting day.

How much boost on the VF23 Scoty - I am going that route when it arrives

Spill the beans on Alan G's figures...

What did the STi 7 do - any mods?

Come on then lads, what did everyone get?

hi john
the rollers did not have any temp compensation and it was a very warm day!! so every car was actually down on flywheel power.

mine evo7 nothing changed since last time put out 317/295 but paw 241 which up by 6bhp! but i was down from the last 5-6 dynos which where 330/315 and 235 at the wheels.

sti 7 254bhp/247 paw can't remember 180 i think? not sure

scots 264/267 and 179 at the wheels @1.2bar

alan g 314/297 and 231 at the wheels

a greeb 5 door put out 240/225 i think it had dawes

dougster not sure 223bhp/ 197torque ( not sure all from memory)

Alan was telling me about the figures and the conditions. Just underlines your faith in rolling roads... Missed you at Knockhill on Thursday was keen to see what my car would have done on the straight compared to yours. Good to have a play with T-uk but not quite the result I hoped for as you know Maybe I should speak to Mr Cowie would love it but that car would require real "commitment" from the sounds of it.

314BHP / 309Lb ft and 232.5 @ wheel. Don't forget the 0.5 now, makes all the difference don't you know

Found out the cause of poor power figure and odd CO readings.....at last.

Briefly, lambda was reading true against the CO meter for the rollers.

Jim Curley, if you get to read this I can explain why, aint nuttin to do with your meter. Something totally different....

Also new pump is also part culprit in the proceedings, so plenty power still to come.....can't wait!!
Next time peeps, next time.....

Take care out there

Thanks Sam for the time taken to iron out those couple of wee niggles the map has. Much appreciated.

Still prefer your own car though.........

P.S. Changed the bl**dy oil filler pipe that burst for the second time..... Fortunately got home without oil spraying all over the place!!

AlanG-

Will call you during the week for a chat about why my torque figures peaked late.

Simmys car had better figures with Dawes, centre and BB. Thought mine would have compared.

Robertio-

Might not have had great figures but "The Dougster's Wagon" was shinier than Scoty's for a change!!!

My peak torque figure of 196lbf-ft came in at 5570rpm.

The torque plot leveled out at 3000rpm the climbed again.

Should maximum torque not come in earlier as appears to have in most other car's figures?

Was def. expecting more. Still waiting for Magnex centre and a boost guage then I can fit the Dawes and AFR thats lying in the boot.

Cool

Think Scoty was more interested in figures at the weekend than how clean his car was for a change

Lookin back at my graph from January,
Max torque was at 5080 rpm - 227 lbt - ft,
mod's at that time were full decat and induction kit.

Dougster, you should be ashamed of having a car cleaner than the Scoty saloon The first year I ran my scooby peak torque was way up like yours, I'd recommend running your car on NF octane booster (on top of SUL/Optimax) it made a huge difference to when the torque came in (35mph in 5th gear became smooth ) and when rolling roaded the next time peak torque was around 3,500rpm.

330 - 317 = lost 13 Just avin a larf mate

The different tyres may account for the PAW difference ??

yeah well couple of things really.

first the run was done with the a/c on i thought jim was having a great time in the car with the window up.

jim did not use any temp probe compensation this time round. so that affected all the car all these cars produced less power than they would have normally. i think i would have lost 3% due to temp compensation.

jim only revved it to 6000revs while last time it reved to 7000revs

at the end of the day it is the power at the wheel for my car that i am interested in.

i just did not understand your question
