"Q6 Will the cameras be hidden or used in normal Police vans?

As the cameras are being used by the Police as part of their commitment to the Fife Community Safety Partnership, they will normally be operated from vans marked with highly conspicuous livery to maximise the deterrent effect rather than simply catch drivers speeding. There may however be some occasions when cameras are used covertly to target particular problem groups or areas where other methods have proved to be ineffective."

Taken from a certain Police Constabulary website! I thought that these mobile cameras were not allowed to be used 'covertly' as they put it?

I think that's England & Wales - Up here they can hide them where they like !

And they always do - A90 Aberdeen to Dundee they are all hidden behind road signs - except 1 of them which IS IN AN ACCIDENT BLACK SPOT and is PAINTED BRIGHT ORANGE - Although I suspect that's more to do with footie than safety
