Does anyone know of any Ifor Williams (plant stylee) trailers for sale in Scotland. I am looking for a twin axle 6x4 or slightly larger but not too big. It would also prefer if it had ramps. I have cash waiting for one at the right price.

Thanks in advance

I take it you've had a lookie in Scot-Ads - there are always heaps in there.

Assuming your units of measurement are feet (as opposed to metres), 6 x 4 is clearly too small for a car or anything substantial - so why the need for double axle ? (sorry, being nosey, I'm sure there's a perfectly logical reason).

I take it you've seen the price of Ifor Williams units. My impression was that ther are extremely high quality but with price to match.

Cheers Numptie, yes I have looked in Scotads and nothing there the noo. I don't want it for a car but to tow my quad and also for other DIY type duties. I have a 5x4 single axle home made jobbie but it is not up to what I need it for now. I would consider another make but ir needs to be good quality or I will get a new one made up as a good friend is a superb welder.

Due to some arshole stealing my quad, I have a trailer I might consider selling. Internal dimensions are 49" x 78" and was big enough for a Honda 350 Quad. I only used it once to get my Quad from the dealers. My quad was stolen about 2 weeks later (last October). The trailer was £600 + VAT so looking for a reasonable offer (Hint, a set of Elise tyres costs £523) The Trailer usually retails at over £1000 I think, but was an ex demo and they sold it at a reduced price because I bought the Quad at the same time.

I have uploaded a couple of photos at the following webshots album

Iain,

Thanks for the reply it is much appreciated but I am looking for a twin axle trailer for stability and also the extra carrying capacity. I don't just use it for the quad but for DIY as well

No problem, best of luck with finding something. I searched for ages and ended up having to buy through the dealers.

Thanks again Iain.

Yes it looks like I may be purchasing a new trailer as well if I can get a bit more discount or they can lose the VAT
