Default Front discs and pads 05 sti

I need to change my front discs and pads , was looking at some from Aztec on here but after the recent thread I'm going to avoid them , could anybody offer some advice on a decent set up , don't want to spend loads tbh , the car is standard ppp

The fast road set up Aztec were doing at £100 looked popular and good value

Any similar packages about from reputable sellers

Try Godspeed in Bridgend. I had grooved disc all round with ebc blue stuff pads all round and fitted for £500 a few years ago.

Just had a look on Aztec site, £100 seems cheap for front discs and pads seems a gd deal. Good luck

Tbh guys this site is littered with folk that have bought that set up from Aztec and given very good reviews , there's pages and pages of people who have taken up the special offer and group buys etc and nearly all reports are good , the standard set up in my opinion is bloody awful , they really need stamping on to get any performance and you seem to get a sweet spot under moderate breaking until you over use them and the they get too hot , then you get shocking brake fade

My car spends most of its days driving round town centre at 30mph and then gets used more spirited at weekends out on country roads , the only reason I pointed out that package from Aztec was due to the good reviews and comments I'd read on here , if there's a better package out there for £100-£150 ish then feel free to offer advice , I'm just not spending huge sums on the oem rubbish that's on there now

I just bought Godspeed's Front grooved disks & Kevlar pads setup for £119.

I am 160 miles in to my 'running in' and have no complaints, i'm actually starting to feel a bit more bite than the OEM brakes ever had so things are looking good!

We can offer you front grooved discs with black painted centres and our kevlar pads which are not the same as the Comline ones Aztec sell , and we offer the front axle set for £150 plus £15 P&P.

We are easy to contact by phone , and have a next day delivery

Cheers Ian

Plus chapattis are round and have excellent friction coefficients - ideal for brake discs.

Tikka for me Its always on the menu on a Saturday!!

OP - I've had Godspeed discs and kevlar pads on my classic and they were great, even tracked them a couple of times with no issues.

I shall be replacing my STIs brakes with Godspeed items later on this year

Explain where I was putting other products down ? I said our kevlar pads are not the same as the Indian Comline pads , I was pointing out that the discs and pads you sell are not the same make as ours , I made this point so people don't think we are selling the same product , but yours are cheaper , the OP is looking at the cost , and not the actual product

Yes, ours are cheaper and do the job very nicely.

Yes Bob , you and I know our products are different makes , but not everyone does if we are both selling 'kevlar' pads , I was pointing out these are indeed different makes and not the same
