Whats gearbox/diff oil would you recommend for a bugeye STi 6 sp box and wheres the cheapest place to buy it?

I used millers crx 75w90 and cheapest would probably be ebay or alyn

I used castrol universal in mine as recommended by rcm whilst my car was being mapped there.

you could try gsf for it or euro car parts, failing that ebay or rcm directly..

thread hi-jack..........

i have a 6 speed with fresh motul gear 300 in,what would be best for the box as it has a slight whine?

When i spoke to rcm about the best oil to use for the 6 speed they said to me the castrol was used by them if syncros/baulk rings were worn and if the gearchange was notchy, maybe itll cure your whiny box too???

Ive used castrol from them before and found it to be good stuff.what about shockproof oil I think it's redline

I use shockproof heavy. It cured some synchro crunching in my box, and runs really sweet.
It's not cheap, but it's such a nice colour
