Default Stage rally Impreza question

What is your guys opinions on the best/strongest Gearbox and reasons for your choice.

Reason I ask is were on with building a stage car.

Sti 6 speed or PPG are usually good choices

What spec you looking at mate?


Good luck with the build, is this your first car or done some rallying before?

am building a rally car as well .i have put a new uprated 6 speed in mine as it was a spare for my race car .but if i was to buy one it would be a 5 speed ppg box .as its lighter

Thing is we have a jdm blob Sti, as a base car. Twin scroll, shorter ratio dccd box. We want the car to be as light and as strong as possible. I personally think the 6 speed is upto the job but just wanted opinions on the ppg and sequential boxes.
