Default Dash / Accident Cameras

Been trawling through here and found many threads recommending Various Cameras and showing how good they are.

I have notice nowhere can I find pictures of them mounted in the cars.

Has anyone got photos they can put up so I van get an idea of how big they are and how obtrusive or not they are on the windscreen.

Many Thanks

Paul

Not the best picture but gives you an idea mate

Suckered to the windscreen and can rotate , swivel to get the best position

This one

http://www.amazon.co.uk/2-7-Inch-G-SENSOR-VEHICLE-SYNCHRONOUS-RECORDER/dp/B009MFPHPW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394796563&sr=8-3&keywords=car+dash+cam http://www.amazon.co.uk/2-7-Inch-G-SENSOR-VEHICLE-SYNCHRONOUS-RECORDER/dp/B009MFPHPW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394796563&sr=8-3&keywords=car+dash+cam

Plus points
Small, can do both front and rear facing cameras (you can switch off the rear if you don't like being filmed)
fairly good low light video
adaptor has several angles so can position it on any surface at any angle

Bad points
comes from china (they all do ! ) so getting a broken/faulty part replaced is a PITA. wife's camera lead to cigarette lighter broke after a week. They wanted the whole thing back so I told them to do one and bought a cable off ebay for £2
You need to buy the SD card separate
fairly cheap and nasty construction but it is only £30

To read the video you need a PC as the camera loads on property software on the SD card to read it. But once on your PC you have loads of scope to view it on what you like

Blackvue all the way, we supply them too.

Its not in the bracket here but you can get the idea of how small it is. Its tucked away nicely behind the mirror so I dont even see it when driving

I have a BlackVue DR550GW-2CH...expensive kit but found them very good.

The only problem I've had is the time is always an hour out...seems to be a known issue with no way of changing it manually...as you sell them, have you come across this issue and do you know if there's a fix yet?

I use a cheap £17 camera from ebay, it doesn't have the quality of my Gopro but if an accident happened it does the job.

I've got a go pro but something like tony posted would be great for the occasional spirited drive.

You're not deaf
You can choose to export the files/clips from the SD card with or without sound.

The quality is not bad tbh. Quite acceptable in low light and in daylight very good. even works at night time

not bad for £30 . it is not the smallest camera by any means and unlike the other ones mentioned on this thread you do get what you pay for, but it does me

Is there anything more stealthy in the £50 bracket?

Too many ******* round here who wouldn't think twice about putting the window in to grab something suckered to the windcreen...even notepad holders!
