Wink

I think it looks great - Beat me to it!!

My brother-in-law is a silversmith and has access to lots of good mesh-type products - I have been looking at something similar but to include bits for the front grille and the funny orange bits on MY99/00 cars. I'm very keen to get a look and feel of the mesh on the 22B cars and with the same deep set look and probably an anodised black finish (particularly as I'm looking at FMIC at some point) - I'm going to continue my research on this but would appreciate input from you (or anyone else) what it is we want (I think the look & feel of a restrained Evo front is what I'm aiming for)

Rantings of a mad man??

Thumbs up

D'oh
I just replied to your email you sent me, asking you the price, and then i found this thread!
The grille is very smart, IMO! How does it attach to the bumper, do you remove the old plastic one first?

Cheers
Leigh

iain,

Sorry to stamp on your fire, but isn't £80 a bit steep for a st steel grille.

I have had one on mine for 6 months which I made, my current one which is aluminium cost me £20 and the previous model which was st steel cost £10.

Sorry (Flame suit on!!!)

Muddy.

Hello

Willo,

I also spent a long time researching the design and material to use, and tried many different designs, this one beats them all though, it just ozzes quality, it'll probably outlast the car , as for tips, I just kept trying until i got it right.

Leigh,

It attaches to the bumper with 5 brackets and screws, very rigid. I removed the plastic 'slatting' just cuz i thought it set the whole thing off, but you can just leave it in, personal choice i suppose.

Muddy,

I hear where your coming from m8, but it's worth it when you see the quality, just depends on what flicks yer switch i suppose.

Cheers all,

Iain
