Default coilpack upgrade.

Ive got an early phase 1 car with the very unreliable and expensive coilpacks. I know some have done the mod where they swap them for newage items but has anybody done the swap using phase1.5 or phase 2 coilpack and leads.
Is it possible ??

they all have external igniters so no reason why they shouldn't be a strait swap

Subaru went back to coil on plug for a reason, Matt.

Whatever that reason is, I don't know for certain, but, since Nissan and Toyota both used a similar system on their high powered cars it's probably a good reason.

i was going to convert mine to to phase 1.5 central coil pack but didnt in the end as i wasnt happy with where i would have to mount the coil pack, i later went to a newage coil pack conversion,

this is a link to fitting a central coil pack. https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...onversion.html
