Default 12,500 miles WR1

As above this is going through BCA at Blackbushe tomorrow the 12th.

Mileage is warranted, l estimate 8k will buy it plus BCA fees.

It's booking at 6,500.

Expect with such low miles there will some interest.

Only if it has history commensurate with it's age and not miles.

Plus 1. The history is crucial.

12,500 miles.... That must be one of the lowest mileage wr1 left! Easy worth paying 8k for.

I saw someone sounding off on FB about a year ago claiming to have a WR1 of the same mileage.

Wonder if it's been repossessed?

Front bumper moulding needs replacing, there are a few stone chips on bonnet, all four wheels scratched or damaged, dent on offside wing.

Last serviced 06/11 at a main dealer...

Serviced six times in total.

I was interested but they wont let me bid over phone/online as not a trader. 4 hour drive too much just in case it goes for silly money.

It was px at Porsche mayfair. Rang them direct to buy but weren't interested

Milage will be right as most px don't have warranted milage.

Mot just ran out.

They told me book price is 6900. Then theres fees of about 600 for a private buyer plus delievery cost.

I would pay 8k total. Then with a service, tax, mot and wheels refurbed its a 10k car easy.

Yes small dent on wing 10-30mm, MOT ran out 8/3/14 so needs to be taken away on trailer.

Has got set of additional gauges in centre dash pod, which l don't believe these come as standard - don't know what make though.

I booked it at 6450 but that was at average taking into account the bits that needed doing, l heard at another auction yesterday that there is a 7.5k proxy bid in, l have no reason to believe its untrue, so if anyone wants it they will have to go higher than that

It's too much money for a car that was last serviced almost 3yrs ago, god knows what's gone on in between now and then and the way the drivers at auction act it's probably had the **** ragged off it every time it's been moved in the last couple of weeks.

It's a big fat NO from me.

I wouldn't disagree it will sell for more than than I am prepared to pay, thats why I put the information on here.

But for someone who likes WR1s and wants a very low mileage car its an opportunity.

The service in June 11 was at 7300 miles, personally I would accept the gap.

There is also a gap between June 05 @2,700 miles and Feb 09 @3,300 miles

Over the years I have known of a couple of cars with fake histories, so unless there are invoices available to support the stamps (and thats not 100%) it can be pot luck. Especially marques that dont have their dealers linked up on a national database

If the new owner put 5k a year on it and then sold it in four years it will only have done 30kish - I don't think they would lose that much come resale time.

At the end of the day its a personal choice.

To me, the potential that it has gone long periods without being started and possibly thrashed on the occasions it has - without a service - means it is a bigger risk for an expensive loss than a potential quick couple of grand.

Good luck and fair play to the person who makes a few quid on it, because a low mileage WR1 is worth a lot to the right buyer!

I had similar thoughts I imagined a car sitting in a garage perhaps being started every 3 or 4 weeks and the damage that might do.
Not from the perspective that the oil hadn't been changed as I don't really think it would have degraded that much.
But more the fact that unless it had been cranked over prior to firing up, the oil would have drained off a lot of the components - but of course we will never know.
Its one of my hates about buying from a auction on line - the first few seconds when they start the car to bring it into the hall tells you so much.

Makings of a money pit IMO which is a shame for a car like this. These cars should be cherished by their owners and serviced every year regardless of mileage so this one should be priced accordingly. Even if you buy it and put a couple of grand into it to bring it upto scratch it will still only be a £6500 grand car in the book.

In 10 years these cars will be worth nowhere near £14k, a WR1 would be a terrible investment, truly awful.

Amazed if it has fetched £13800 plus fees - especially as its not perfect and with patchy Service History?! 5k+ overpriced.

Because it wasn't serviced for four years despite irregular use, and then after that it hasn't serviced for three years... really good for an engine that

Could well have been serviced just not stamped in the book. I know of a lot of owners who self service their own cars.

i would say it hasn't been serviced as the condition would suggest the owner didn't look after it a low mileage wr1 should be treated like a classic driven carefully and any marks should be treated as soon as they show up

That is a pretty steep price!

Got mine for 10.2k with a very good spec and lowish miles. Anyway, the car is worth what the buyer is willing to pay.
