Default My newly purchased Sportswagon and now pride & joy!

Evening all!

Just spent four hours driving home my new (2nd hand car). It's an '03 WRX PPP wagon and I LOVE it.

It's everything I was expecting and more! The acceleration is awesome, as is the grip. I'm addicted to the engine note, exhaust note and turbo whistle.

Dave, thanks mate, I know you didn't want to get rid of it but it's gone to a good home.

Roll on some Essex B road blasts in the morning.

Very nice mate, glad you like it and the drive home is always the best! Better get used to that sign in the background though (not the pub lol) and all future iterations of it, it becomes like a second home Get ready to want an STI in a year or less

I'm quite happy with the power it has for now to be honest. Also starting to think a lightweight flywheel was installed when the garage that the previous owner bought it from, rebuilt the gearbox. It revs up super fast and isn't too happy pottering along in 4th gear. I'm quite happy with that though!

Welcome to the fastest and best New age Subaru club. Mine is a 54 plate WRX Wagon PPP in Black (the best colour) just get those sills colour coded and some decent pads and discs, or upgrade to AP 4 pots like mine and it's the perfect daily, rear roll bar with solid drop links and a geo set up and jobs a good un. I keep thinking of sticking a forged engine in and upping the power mostly because mine is over 100k but then I drive it and realise there's nothing wrong with it so go back to the "if it aint broke don't fix it" philosophy.

Enjoy, very under-rated car that will surprise cars that cost many thousands more, that includes STI's.

Thanks very much Ditch....I quite like the classic Subaru blue though!

I keep seeing people talking about buying second hand Brembos from the Sti.....are AP's better, appreciate they are quite pricey new. Mine has 17 inch wheels so am assuming the Brembos would fit?

Do you need drop links for front and back?

First job is to change the turbo up pipe out for an sti one.

You already have the STi wheels so they will fit over the Brembos.
