Help !!!!!
Hi I have a subaru impreza turbo 2000 R reg. I have recently fitted a new coil pack, leads, plugs, knock sensor, airflow meter, fuel filter, turbo smart manual boost controler. while I'm accelerating hard it seems to be missing and no power really and at the end of the revs before you get close to redline it's missing really bad. The water in my coolant bottle is always empty and some water comes out of the radiator filler cap and that water is a rusty colour. The turbo sounds to be over spooling aswell. Any ideas.
Many thanks.

Are the plugs the right ones? Have they been gapped?
Is the fuel filter working properly, is there flow?
Why are you redlining it all the time, it's probably the reason the coolant is fecking off!
The ECU may be thrown out by the new air flow meter.
Ditch the Turdo (not very) Smart boost controller because trouble is just around the corner.
Change the coolant, check for air locks and check for leaks before you blow the thing up!

I'm not at redline all the time it's only after I change something for new to see if the problem has changed.
With the gapping on the plugs, wouldn't they be right if I bought them new from a car part dealer with useing my reg number. But I did tell me to use a different grade of plug, so I did. Would that be making a difference because I have a cooler grade plugs.
Many thanks for your answer.

Seriously, ditch the manual boost controller first. That is a recipy for disaster on an Impreza. The ECU should control the boost, not a bloody detent on the end of a spring!
Is the car mis-firing or hitting a brick wall?
Also, regarding the plugs, most are gapped from the factory, but it is always worth checking yourself, especially on an Impreza due to how long it takes to change them. 0.7mm is where you want to be.
But, as I said, the first thing you need to do is to get rid of the manual boost controller. Complete and utter waste of money.

The car is like misfiring it was over boosting going over to 20psi and was hitting a brick wall but after fitting the manual one that stoped but still misfiring.
