Avoid like the plague mate, they don't have the best rep locally

Aylesbury street motors in MK right?

They got a good rep around here, they're not in Aylesbury so your probably confusing them with someone else.

I was recommended them by someone else so went down there last weekend. I couldn't work out a price for the car I wanted, but the cars seem top quality and they apparently have had new management in the past couple months, hence more scoobies.

Yeah I went to see the Range they have there.

I did make a cheeky offer but as they had it a while, thought it may be worth a shot! Lol

A couple friends recommended me there. All the cars seemed good. There was a couple scoobies I saw parked there as well, I mentioned how I used to have one and apparently the new management is trying to get some performance orientated stock in.

Was a good experience and as it would be in any other dealership really. They have AA approval which was sound enough for me to try and spend my ££ there. Apparently only limited numbers of dealerships get the AA approval so that speaks for itself I guess.

The guy seemed friendly enough on the phone, its this that I enquired about :

Mileage is a bit more than listed @ 65k, price doesn't seem too bad though the only thing that puts me off slightly is its had a decat and an uprated fuel pump. Just a long way to go for it to be a dog.

Price seems reasonable for the spec. I wouldn't personally have an issue with the decat/fuel pump as at least it would be getting the proper fuelling. The clutch is a good positive, and at least it had a Ecutek for the cat and fuel pump.
As long as the paperwork is there, it should be a safe bet. Only thing I would be planning for is a build though, wouldn't wanna take a 2.5 much over 70k without budgeting for a head gasket.

The car I saw was exactly as they told me on the phone, I think as they are under new management they seem to be pretty keen on the customer service side so doubt they will waste anyone's time.

If your travelling a distance, I would just clarify everything on the phone beforehand to ensure it's what your looking for.
With the sort of stock they have, I doubt they are gonna have any bad cars. It's only when dealers don't give info over the phone that I get worried.

Aye had budgeted for an API rebuild, there is a spec D local which i might take a look at too tomorrow. Can the STI wing be fitted to the Spec D without drilling any extra holes ?

I'm not sure on that tbh. I would guess it should do.

API rebuild would be perfect, spec D might work out better price wise, as the prices seem a little more reasonable for them. I actually prefer the leather interior in them as well!!

The leather doesn't overly bother me either tbh. Looking around there doesn't seem to be too much difference between a UK sti and the Spec D apart from the price. I was originally looking at buying one that's already forged but there isn't a lot about, so thinking about buying a low enough mileage one and having it forged at least that way I know it should last. The spec D just needs the big wing for me and its perfect.

Yeah a spec D does make sense ££ wise

I'm sure there is a grey UK STI in the classifieds already forged?
Oliver I think?

When I was thinking of getting back into one, I spoke to him about his.

It's fully forged and he wants around £10k Iirc.

That's really good value for money IMO. Especially already forged

£10750 one is definitely a nice spec. I thjnk with that mileage as well you can't go wrong.

If you get a stock one with 50-60k for 9-10k, it will be a fair bit more after the rebuild. But not sure if he's still got that either, he hasn't bumped his thread in a while so maybe sold as well?
