Default thinking of changing to mondeo Titanium X

Hi have been looking at mondeo Titanium X tdci
for around £3500 on a 56 plate

I have a 54 plate face lift WRX in crystal grey
just coming up to 100000
standard apart from
STI boot and spoiler ( I still have standard )
3 X lamco gauges in place of clock (boost, water temp, oil pressure)
mud flaps

great car no problems
what would it be worth

I have heard the injectors can be a problem
also the dm flywheels on lots of newer fords are costly to change
but I am still tempted by lots of toys and the mpg

not to mention they're dull and as boring as can be... what are your requirements?

5 Door diesel ? Anything with the PD engine would get my vote. I had the PD 1.9 130bhp and it was a cracking engine.

I have a diesel Vectra sri 150 for the workhorse. They are known to be **** due to the fiat cdti engine, but I have had no major problems yet. Had to replace an alternator and egr valve, but nothing from the dual mass flywheel or inlet manifold (touch wood). I like it because even if I thrash it, it still gives about 50mpg and has lots of low down grunt, which is the opposite to the Impreza, nice for a daily driver imo.

I had the cdti 150bhp. 50k miles it needed new inlet manifold due to swirl flap rod breaking off and a new dmf. Oh and driveshaft and clutch. Was a terrible car.

I've had a 56 plate mondeo st tdci for the last 3 years and it's been a great car fair play, fully loaded too with xenon headlights, parking sensors, multi media pack so has the ford dvd headrests etc, in the last 3 years and 30k mileage nothing has gone wrong with it and it's on 150k mileage now too

My daily hack is a 54 plate Passat Highline 1.9 TDi 130. I can vouch for the AWX engine being bulletproof, they never go wrong.

103,000 miles now, playing at it!

Buy a Toyota Avensis D4D and earn money as a cabbie part time.

Don't listen to the people saying to avoid the Mondeo! I had one since 2007 to last year. Clocked up well over 100k, but did have a DPF replaced and the DMF was mullered when I got shot. Overall running costs were stupidly cheap IMO, so you got to look at the whole story.

THE best daily driver I have ever owned. I will get another once the new shape has been released.

I had the Titanium X as well.
