Default How much?

In the process of selling my classic and just noticed that both rear arches have a bubble no bigger than a 5 pence piece on each side arches have been spot on until now I noticed this morning as they weren't there last week when I took the photos of the car, how much would you lower you asking price by. I have been quoted £200 to fix so would you reduce it by that amount or a little more?

For £200 you will only scratch the surface rust off.

The next owner would be looking at the thick end of £1000 for a cost cutting, half decent job. I personally would mention it and not pass the problem on to the next owner. Any potential serious Subaru buyer knows the problems with Classic arches and would want a substantial reduction in price.

£200 to repair two rusty impreza rear arches is a joke buddy. I'll guarantee once its actually in the body shop that price will go up considerably.
Explain to the buyer about the rust issue and offer him £500 off the asking price. Hopefully he's not to clued up on whats involved in the repair and bites your hand off.

Imo id just keep it advertised as it is and be prepared to a hit come bartering time.

If ots obvious you will be offered less. If it doesnt look too bad then you may get away with it.

And pass a potential money pit onto someone else, there is an amount of personal integrity involved here. Unless it's a sort after version or ltd edition be prepared to let it go for £1-1.5k.
