There's a Prodrive one at AF Nobles in Penicuik for £22,500. It's got 9000 miles on the clock according to the Subaru site.

If an STI is £25k brand new from a dealer or £23k import (again new) then I would think £22k for a second hand WRX + bits, is expensive IMHO.

'Do the math' as they say.

What price exclusiveity?Potential rareity?Gets more looks/comments than the P1 did.Cost of nuts & bolts isn't everything.

My old Norton Commando is way long in the tooth compared to modern stuff. But has improved value with age. It's a fickle market, look how some of the so called "classics" have not done so well as investments!Tricky one eh?

Red face

No road going scoob is an "investment", stop kidding yourself.

The one scoob that would fit that kind of description would be the 22B Type UK, as only 16 were made, and they can be bought for £30K at the moment.

I have seen UK300's for sale at £19K asking price, and you know what asking price really means. Dont go off dealer prices, you can knock £3K-£4K off those straight away as the dealers whack that on as soon as they buy the thing.

This thread came up some weeks ago, dealers have me offered 20 and 21 respectively on trade in against a sti7, mine does have PPP so hence perhaps why 1 or 2 k more than some figures being quoted on this thread. They are being sold on the forecourt anything from 22 - 24K, just check out autotrader. Whether they would get that is another thing So dependent on whether trade or private, it can fluctuate by up to 5K on paper

Cheers

Flat Eric,
I think you're missing the point here the Sti is a better car than the UK300 period. Yes the 300 is more 'exclusive' but car for car the UK300 at the prices quoted doesn't seem good value for money. If you want exclusivity then modify your car to how you want it and make it different. A few prodrive bits bolted on doesn,t make it that special imho.

Point taken Hawkeye.Purely practically yes.But on a head turning level to non previous owners I can only go on my day to day experiences.

First car standard turbo - some interest

Second car P1 - lot of interest

Present car UK300 - too much interest.Cant go anywhere without people wanting a look,or asking questions,or wanting a run up the road.Takes me twice as long to do anything.
