Default Best STi seats

Which are the best STi seats to put in my newage? I'm looking for the most "grabbing" set. I've heard widetrack seats could be what I'm after however I don't honestly know.

Are Wr1 seats any tighter than standard STi seats?

I'm looking for a nice set of STi seats front + rear and all door cards as a side note if anyone has a set 😉

Thanks a lot!

Several years ago I found Blob STi seats perfect for me personally.

However, I now have a Hawk Spec D. Full black leather which looks nice, and cleans up great with Autoglym leather cream, but I find the base of them too narrow.

The base bolster nearest the driver door digs into the underneath of my right thigh. Not great on a long drive. The bolster has also lost it's shape a bit now.

I'm sure you could find a breakers selling seats / cards etc.

Spec C seats or STi seats from 2004-2005.

> 2006 STi seats have side airbags and don't provide enough side support.

It is a misconception that WR1 seats are alcantara but they are made of a velvet type material that wears out and looks nowhere near as good as alcantara IMHO.

It made out of the same stuff as sti seats. I know as I've had both and would say the black seats show the wear less.

Not sure any new age sti seats have airbags until the hatch either.

I think it's got a lot to do with your size!

Im F511 and 12.5 stone and i love my V4 Sti seats. My dad has hawk sit seats in his classic. They are comfier however don't hold you half as well. My dad is taller and wider and gets on much better with the new age seats.

I love the look of the 2012 sti saloon Recaro seats but i can't imagine them being very cheap or easy to fit

I was told that bug sti seats are best new age ones, but I am happy with my widetrack blob seats, the hawk sti seats with airbags are not as good in my opinion.

No they aren't.
I have sat in a WR1. It doesn't have perforated alcantara as Spec C/FSTi ones.

Hmm, they look perforated indeed.
Still they are different to Spec C/FSTi ones as the perforated part is not white.

The ones below are FSTi seats

Thanks for these comments! I'm 18, thin only about 9-10 stone and 6ft tall... So it sounds like the 2007- onwards are no good, shame because I love the look of them!

I sure do like wr1 seats however they are rare and quite expensive! I'm not too sure wether or not I prefer the standard blue aswell.. I thought there were more differences between the two other than the colour.

So it looks like blob STi and bug STi seats are the way to go... Has anyone had both? Can someone compare the two? I'm looking for the tightest fit over comfort really.

Thanks a lot for all the help chaps, top class

There about the same really comfortable but not really figure hugging they hold you but if you are looking for figure hugging seats only buckets seats can really do that if you get my drift.SJ.

I've had both and the bugeye are definitely the tighter fit/better of the two... no question.

The blobeye were widened on request of the US market apparently!

2007 on seats will fit but you need to make a bracket for one of the rear mounting points as one of those doesn't line up with the newage cars.

Mug seats sounding a real competitor then! Cheaper than blobe STi seats aswell!

Does anyone have a full set for sale then?

The Bugeye STi seats definitely offer more support and hold you far better than the later Blobeye and Hawkeye seats.

If you really want the best of all world's then it's the seats in the S202.

If money is not object and you're small enough to fit in them then the S204 seats are hard to beat, but you'll need the body of a very skinny person to get in them properly rather than just sit on top of them.
