time for more power!!
Hi all, just after a bit of advice, had my 05 sti blob ppp for a few months now so im sure its about time for more power! iv bought a load of goodies to fire on;
full decat exhaust
harvey ported up pipe and headers
uprated fuel pump
k&n panel filter (all funds would allow )
i was wondering if i would need to upgrage my injectors before i have it remapped or if there is anything else obvious i should be looking at changing. not going for mega power, e.g not looking at new turbo or fmic as yet, i gotta let the mrs cool off from this lot first
Any rough idea of the kind of power i could be looking at, 350ish??
also any recommendations for mapping in the west midlands?
sorry about the essay, any help appreciated.
thanks. ash

you dont need to change injectors
add in some ngkpfr7b plugs
take a trip to rcm in hinckley and have it mapped there,my vf35 made 354bhp on their dyno mapped by duncan-race dynamix
http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/index.asp
http://www.racedynamix.co.uk/remap/
then after its mapped you have a nice 30 odd mile trip back to try your new power

Injectors will be fine up to 400bhp, consider getting 3 port boost solenoid
with that setup you should see 330-350
as for mapper i used Duncan from RaceDynamix, so i will recommend him, but there is plenty others out there.

I had my Terzo mapped there by Duncan but I thought he worked for esl (enduring solutions ltd) as he was the only few people who could map a classic but there workshop is top class tho got a few nice toys there as well to look round

Have you considered what mapping software you want, as in example ecutec or opensource/carberry rom?
Imho carberry from andrew carr is best value for money, plus antilag, launch control, no lift shifting and two maps available via switches for less than ecutec.
Just something to think about if you havent already
