Default How rare is it really?

Whilst trying to find some advice on cleaning up my strut brace, I came across this. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2437133
Now I'm not silly enough to believe I have 1 of only 3 in the world, but it did make me wonder how many there were and why someone would pay $500 for one. So does anyone else have the same one? Or is this one of just a handful?
When I bought the car I just thought it was standard.

Here's a pic for those who can't be arsed to click the link.

Been advised to use britemax by bodski which seems like a good shout, but cheers for the tip.

It's going nowhere. I really like it. Just tidying my bay up, and want to give it a good polish.

I think the other UK car on the NASIOC thread is Dave W from here isn't it (Prodriverules project thread).

TBH if it is 1 of 3 and is billet aluminium, $500 seems cheap. Maybe contact Prodrive see if they can shed some light on it. Don't know if Mike Wood (IIRC) still posts on here?
