I can only speak for Turbo 2000's, but mines 1997, 99,000 miles, rebuild? Nope, it's still on it's original clutch nevermind engine :-)

my blob is on 117k and seems sweet as. actually made more than standard on the rollers with just a panel filter. to be fair though the car had been maintained without fail by 'older' previous owner i picked it up on 114k

My sti type r is on it's second rebuild, first done by muppets second by me and still going on 74k.

My Blob Wagon PPP is just coming to 101,000 and runs just fine, no rebuild but it's going to need a clutch and some more power soon.

Yea I thought 99k was good going on the original clutch but the gent who posted below beats me lol.

Yep I had a 1999 BMW E36 328i Sport manual back in 2005, Techno Violet with silver leather, It was a lovely car, however I spent thousands on it with Eibach/Rogue Engineering bits to try to improve it dynamically as never really got on with it from a handling perspective. It was a mistake really as they should be considered more as a GT car than a sports car, and as such it's a totally different animal to the Impreza. In terms of comfort and getting places at ease and pace, the BMW was great and a lovely place to be, but in terms of fun and outright performance it was no match to an Impreza. The gap would be even more pronounced compared to a convertible as E36 cabs were never the best of drives!
