Apologies for my teams retirement but my two team mates werent man enough to hack the wet. Bit gutted as we were 5th at one stage and I did a 1hr15min stint with every weather condition possible (including hailstones) and all for nothing
Why we didnt get wet tyres I dont know as they had a load of blue karts behind the pit area with them on.

Wet tyres = £££££ and wear out quickly when used on a drying track. You can do a set of wets in 5 laps in the dry and they cost £100+ for a set. I didn't realise that you'd retired, sorry your team mates couldn't take a little (!) rain.

Apologies for not turning up but we were out drinking till the early hours Saturday and were capable of nothing more than slobbing on the sofa in the dry watching the GP and Superbikes yesterday

I'm tempted to get the guys at work here to throw 10 buckets of ice cold water at me, just so I can relive the experience
Massive fun and thanks for putting it together Jeff.
We even managed to finish with all wheels attached to our kart, this time.

Jon and I lived up to our name as TTTrashers by trashing 3 karts during the race. Jon broke a wheel in the practice too.
Refueling, the engine start buggered up so we swapped karts.
Brakes failed totally at the end of the fastest straight so Jon ended up in the kitty litter/bariers AGAIN
We swapped a third time and i cant remember why? LOL We ended the race in the kart we started it in.
I got spraying the pitlane with mud down to a tea by the end. One of the funiest moments was getting changed after the race and i was chatting with someone, he said "who was the nutter in kart 9?"
Ermmm, that was me. LOL
Brilliant fun, i enjoyed every second of it.
Thanks to Dave and Carolyn TS for putting me up the night before too, I was a little bit groggy in the morning but the first lap soon woke me up

you werent alone in that dave, what choice was there?
I drove about 700 miles this Sat/Sun with doing the rally in south wales then Karting, add to that about 80 laps in a kart. Not bad, beats watching TV.

LOL - I totally forgot to take any spare clothes. So wore my race suit with just my boxers and t-shirt underneath. On the way back went commando, had no dry socks and had to borrow a t-shirt.

My vote goes to John F for the most attacking driving style May I remind you that it wasn't a rally forest type stage event!
I took my own waterproofs which kept me reasonably dry apart from my feet. LOL at the £5 weather proofs they supplied, Hoppy jnr's crotch split and had to sit in a puddle all the race. te he.
Who was that 2 man team 'Rusty Nuts', were they scoobynetters?
Davyboy, why you no come and speak to me???

Thanks, Jeff. Floyd's fairies had a great day. I enjoyed it more than most because I managed not to do any driving
Rusty Nuts were very quick. Not a Scooby team, I think, but two local guys? One of them used to race Inter-Continental A karts (100cc 2-strokes pulling 18,000rpm ) and was a lesson in smooth driving.
Team Weave - we'll have you next time!
And Hoppy Junior would like to reassure an anxious nation that he would have had the fastest lap if he'd been out in the dry and was quickest in the final hour
Cheers guys. And thanks Floyd
Richard and Hoppy Jnr

Thanks to Jeff for organising it...so I got you with my anti tailgater manouevre eh?
Thanks to Pete and Craig for not giving up. Pete came in to swop drivers - "i'm enjoying myself so i'll stay out" - 30 seconds later - hail like shrapnel hehehe Pete gets the "drowned rat" award.....
I tried to nobble Felstie with drink the night before but the bu99er still finished ahead of us.... - it's the tequila/JD/red wine cocktail for you next time matey....

Hoppy jnr was awesome to watch, i was using some of his lines after a while but the corner onto the pit straight was reserved exclusively for splashing the onlookers, i got the pit exit marshal big style on one lap.

I've just re-read the results and realised that Team Weave where a whole 4 laps up on Floyds Fairies.....[Smug Mode On]
Dave T-S....I had expected you to head towards the Apex (like everyone else was doing apart from Rusty Nuts & Hoppy Jnr) at Stadium where the plan was to pass you round the outside....bit of a shock when I realised that you where using the same line as I was = Big Splash + Tyre barrier !
Big thank you to John F for all the washing out of Sparco bags I had to do this morning 'cos they where covered in mud from his showboating
Glad people seem to have enjoyed themselves in-spite (or because) of the weather.....

I found early on, the fastest line was round the outside I wish I had had rear view mirrors and seen the look on your face when you had nowhere to go LOL

Jeff, use your noggin, taking your pristine sparco bag outside and placing it next to a bloody big muddy puddle that had "drive through me sideways" written all over it wasnt such a clever idea.
Mine stayed inside in the dry, it's still nice and shiny on the outside. Sopping wet inside from my overalls though.
Yesterday was about having a giggle, and i did.
P.S [shaggy]It wasnt me![/shaggy]

Thanks for organising it Jeff! Even though it was a pretty wet day I enjoyed my time out on the track. There was a lot of good spins which made it fun for the spectators.
Davyboy wasn't the only one that had to drive home commando . Not much dry cloths and no dry shoes or socks afterwards.
Thanks for a fun day.

Jeff, that means if we can remove the non-scoobynetters (Rusty Nuts)from the race (disqualify as they're not in the club)then Floyd's Fairies came second, hurrah!
I'll be round to collect the trophy then
