Default Turbo Advice

Hi All, just wondering what other peoples opinions are on the best turbo for 300bhp. when i bought my 52 plate wrx it had the standard TD04 which was great for spool up but run out of puff at around 4000rpm so i changed it for a TD05H which now does not run out of puff but is a bit laggey. The car already has 3" exhaust, pink injectors, decat up pipe, K&N induction kit. Can anyone suggest a turbo that has a quick spool up like the TD04 and does not run out of puff to early?

Thanks
Mike.

I presume that the car has been remappeed for the TD05? The VF35 turbo is supposed to be a good all round unit.

I went from a TD04 to a VF35. Spool was similar but it gave me 313/300

found the VF35 had no guts, spooled up well but didnt give you much of a kick when it came on....im going for a VF28/30 or a TD05 this time. VF28 was a great turbo on my V6 Type R

I went from TD04 to VF28 and then Vf35 on my last Scoob, a MY00 UK . In my opinion the best was the VF35, no noticeable lag. Great turbo. Steve.

I've just brought one of these for mine just waiting to get all of it fitted, full boost at 2500rpm

But if I had another choice I'd go for a VF34
