thinking of getting a v4 sti
evenin all
I havnt been on here in a long time as i got rid of my uk300
well the itch is back for another scooby
im thinking of getting a v4 sti...I know nothing about the classics so is there anything in particular to look out for apart from the obvious things?

Check that it actually is an STI! Most Classic STIs that I have seen are WRXs with a pink bonnet emblem.
Look at the applied model number which is on the build plate alongside the chassis number. The chassis number isnt an ISO format VIN and it will start GC8, as will the applied model number. An STI will be similar to the following: GC8E4ED and a STI Type-RA: GC8E4DD. GC8E47D is a WRX Type-RA and GC8E48D is a WRX, no matter what the vendor tells you. The fourth character is the model year code starting at A for MY93, B for MY94, C for MY95 & 96 and D for MY97 etc.
