Default bit of advice mapping my 1998 uk turbo

basically ive got a front mount intercooler sat at home waiting to be put on the car.
will i be ok fitting this without a remap?
ive also got gruppe s unequal manifold ready to go on also same applies will i be ok fitting without a remap?

its my first scooby and ive had other cars and fit things like these without a rempa no issue but just want to double check.

problem is i know 1998 models cant be remapped without an aftermarket ecu or a daugterboard so any help would be good.

these mods really need mapping bud, they affect air flow and fuelling etc and really need tuned to suit to maintain good afr,s etc. you either need an aftermarket ecu ie apexi and commander or esl live with a daughter board fitted to the ecu. all good mappers can help you with any of these options. people have and do fit parts without mapping and they were probably ok for a while but its not advised.

Absolutely DO NOT fit those mods without a remap.

The result will be expensive if you do. Sorry.

As said, I wouldn't advise fitting those without having them mapped in.
Mapping your car is simple, it just requires an ESL board fitting. They are a very good bit of kit and quite affordable too. £300 plus fitting and mapping I believe and will allow you to run maffless among other things.
