what diameter exhaust
hi , looking to upgrade my uk turbo to a stainless cat back exhaust. the car is currently standard and with the exception to the exhaust will be staying that way.
I know if I don't ask, i'll end up buying the wrong one, so can anyone please tell me what bore size I will need for my new exhaust, I'm guessing I can bolt it straight up to the cat?
thanks

thanks.
can anyone recommend a decent system, not one that's overly expensive as I only have a budget of £250-£300. im after one that gives a nice deep sound and sounds good on full chat.

Cobra ss systems are decent quality/good price. They tend to be quite loud, but they do do resonated centre sections, and also a trackday-friendly rear box. Plenty of tailpipe options too.
So you are able to buy a permutation to suit your specific needs/taste.

I have a resonated miltek system on mine with 2.5 bore and the 'special' back box. It sounds great and not too loud / droney compared to my old 3 bore and 4.5 back box which was a joke all around really lol.
Have a look on youtube as there are loads of vids on there of different exhausts as it's a personal preference really.

I suppose I need best of both worlds really. I don't do long journeys, so something throaty isn't going to be an issue, what might be is when I finish some shifts at stupid o'clock in the morning, backing up on the driveway, might irritate the neighbours.....least they might speak then .lol

Most systems come with removable bungs, so, if you know you're on a late shift you can just stick the bung in and then remove it for the weekend blast
