I have just bought some 17" alloys to go on my classic impreza. I have yet to fit them as they need a refurb. Obviously when fitted they are going to raise the ride height so I'd like a set of springs to bring the ride height back down to roughly 25mm lower than standard. I would also like the springs to be the same firmness as the oe ones for when the family is in the car. The car is MY99 uk turbo with PPP fitted. Anybody got any ideas?

Depending on what tyres you were running you could use a lower profile tyre on the 17s to give you a very similar overall diameter.

As above its more important to use the right profile 17's so the overall rolling radius will be the same. This will also keep the speedo as accurate as possible and ride height the same
