Got mine from Williams mate, 4 years ago, never had any problems with it - more due to luck than anything else I suspect. I've had a few cars from him (the bald fella, the owner) - all seems above board there.

My advice would be to inspect the car the same as if you were buying privately from a stranger.

Not at all saying there is anything wrong with the car, it looks mint, just be aware that even dealers sell cars with problems.

By the way the one he's got there is the Prodrive PPP one. Always a bonus. Mine is a PPP, though he said it wasn't (guess he just didn't know). Was a bonus anyway!

Cheers chap, always good to get some great feedback on someone who has actually purchased from this garage, it does look like a very good garage with some lovely stock. what's the BHP with the PPP

305 with the PPP. Make sure you take your tax disk out of your old car if you part exchange anything, it really winds him up!

Is this the same Williams family that ran CVC on Penarth road? if so, make sure you get 1 year warranty. Their service bills are massive! make sure it has had the 'big' service done already, otherwise you will go back to get a service under warranty and they will pull your pants down on the counter and charge you about £800. saying that if the cambelt been done, may not be so bad.
Check the service book that they have for the car, to see whats coming up.
I recommend the Three Arches Garage in Heath area of Cardiff for servicing. They still charge more than a back street garage but the two mechanics left CVC to start up their own base. The two mechanics (Dean and Dan) own modified scoobys they have built and owned for years. Dean was the Chief Mechanic for Subaru Cardiff(CVC) for many years. Dan took an apprenticeship there when 16, he must now be in his late twenty's. Both know scoobys inside out and rebuild engines etc.
As with all dealers you will pay over the odds, so make sure you get a good warranty.

Most, if not all his stock is sale or return! He wanted my old Blob STi in the showroom when I was looking to sell and said he would get about £10k back on it, I sold it for £14500 in the end

Don't think he knows too much to be honest, I'd never buy a car off him without paying for a full RAC/AA inspection and a HPI report...

I've bought 2 cars from him and he's also sold 2 of my other ones.

Found him to be ok.

What people have to remember he's a trader/dealer at the end of the day. He has to make money.

He does come across as being a bit arrogant sometimes but everything has gone ok the few times I used him.

Funnily enough I'd agree with you, the reason being I got mine far too cheap from him! It was worth a fair bit more than the £11k I paid him for it lol :-)
