Default OCV cleaning

I have a feeling my avcs is playing up, sometimes feels like it doesnt kick in, other times it does, car has already had a neutral position switch.

Has anybody here cleaned their oil control valve?

Is it spraying with lots of brake cleaner and job done?

Thanks

Be worth checking the screen filter inside the oil feed banjo bolt on top of each OCV to see if they are blocked.
There is another screen filter behind the L/H inner timing cover on the oil feed pipe but is a right **** to get to.

Thanks Mick,

I thought there was only one OCV! I know there is one near the dipstick, would you know where the other one is?

Cheers

One on top of each cylinder head - look at where the one is behind the dipstick, then look on the drivers side for the other one.
