Default 100 PCD Steel wheels

As winter approaches and picking up the RA approaches I fancy getting some winter tyres. But I would rather fit them to some steel wheels.

Getting hold of 16 inch steel Subaru wheels that will cover 4 pots is not easy. So would any of the 100PCD VAG group wheel do the job? Not being a VW wizard (except a few Mk2 GTI's) is there a suitable donor marque with the correct offset?

Help!

Forester's had 16 inch steels, but mostl likely won't clear 4 pots like you say, but as a winter set up, add some spacers.

Surely the space saver will clear, although I'm not sure of it's width. Could you fit your winter tyres to 4 space savers?

I think VAG wheels have a larger centre bore so you'd need spigot rings.

I recently sold some impreza wheels to a bora owner who later came back to me saying they didn't fit.

I can get them sorted.

Space savers rims are not wide enough

Matty,

Did he say why they did not fit?

What about the other JDM marques, Toyota, Nissan, Honda?

Thanks for the replies but I am after steel wheels. The VW Bore size is larger than Subaru and the spigots are not freely available. But there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

Why do they have to be steel? I'm sure you could pick up some standard classic alloys for £50 or so.
