Cool

May have been posted before, but I found out today Gran Turismo 2 is released in the UK on 28 January 2000.

That's only a week to go.

And sad as it may be I've got a copy reserved.

Diablo,

As far as I know the discs may have been shipped to the shops - but they're not allowed to sell them till the 28th.
If you go to a Indepenent shop - they'll probably sell you a copy early - you'll find that all PlayStation games are released on a Friday but you can get them on a Wednesday.

Regards

Dario

Bit of a luddite question, but I presume you can play it on a normal Playstation, not PS 2? Ready for some major DOH'S !!

DOH DOH DOH

Yeah it'll play on a normal PS. GT2000 on the other hand is a PS2 only affair.

Anybody know anything about a story I heard about GT for DreamCast?

GT on dreamcast? Hmm....I better go tie the pig down in the back garden.

The real question is.....have SCEE ensured the same appalling bugs that showed up in the US version have been fixed? I'm mainly thinking of the poor collision detection, the total absence of a dragstrip mode (that is mentioned in the manual), etc.

Sega GT for Dreamcast is by Sega - the video I saw running only has Supras and Skylines - didn't see any Imprezas.
Gran Turismo is by Polophony and they develop only for PlayStation.
Got a Dreamcast for Christmas - didn't rate it! - still prefer GT + GT2 to Sega Rally 2

GT2 rules and I'm well over half way through now.
Be interesting to see if the PAL version is much different from the US one that I've got.
Looking forward to comparing notes etc.

Stef,

GT2 is good, init!

I reckon the version I've got is too easy, so the european game may well be more tricky. Have you tried the two player game on arcade mode? It seems to stretch the PSX beyond it's limits and bog down the cars. This may just be a pal/ntsc/psx clock issue that will (hopefully) disappear in the UK version.

Question

Just a quick question...

Is GT2 going to be released for the PC? I don't want to buy it for the Playstation only to have to go buy it for my PC as well...
